Definition/Context (“What”)

Final executed contract ensures that all required outputs and control mechanisms such as deliverables, milestones, resources, performance indicators and remuneration mechanisms are clearly specified and agreed by the contracting parties. The Contract Management Plan (CMP) is a vehicle that helps to translate key activities that support delivery of contract objectives into a meaningful and tangible action plan with an objective to drive maximum value delivery.

The Contract Management Plan shall cover the following Project Standard Controls:

Purpose/Intent (“Why”) The multidisciplinary contract management plan (CMP) describes all the activities that have to be performed to proactively manage performance of the contracting parties against the contract objectives in order to ensure that the Project has sufficient visibility and control to proactively engage and influence that performance to drive maximum value delivery, including tracking work progress against schedule, cost and spend control, contractor’s HSSE and Quality performance, management of change, mitigation of contract’s risks and optimisation of opportunities as well as assurance activities to prevent value leakage.
