Context

Post Award Contract Management is often underestimated. Plans are developed but not implemented effectively, leading to poor management of the project and, particularly, the main contractors. This can lead to potential disputes and/or claims and will most certainly lead to reduced project performance.

Activity

Post contract award implementation of an effective contract management process in line with the risk profile, scope complexity and appropriate control.

Purpose

To ensure the contract management plan is implemented and the project team is clear on the organisation and accountabilities required to manage the main contractors.
