Control: 4.E.15 Readiness for Construction Assured
Title | Description |
Context |
On-site construction, which starts too early relative to the state of readiness of site project management, can result in poor execution performance and/or HSSE & SP incidents during the initial site mobilisation and onsite activities. |
Activity |
Owner and contractor(s) conduct a review to confirm site controls, staff and resources to support the start of safe and effective site activities. The review takes into account engineering, procurement and resourcing status, the appropriate HSSE & SP, quality and contract management controls and approvals, regulatory permitting, IT systems and staff training. |
Purpose |
To prevent work occurring outside the direct control/oversight of the project leadership team and to ensure efficient execution. |
