Title Description

Context

At the start of construction inefficient and/or poor quality construction delivery can be caused by the following engineering conditions:

  • incomplete or out of sequence engineering deliverables
  • deliverables where management of change has not been properly implemented
  • procurement activities have not been completed

Activity

 Conduct Approved For Construction (AFC) design readiness reviews.

Purpose

 To ensure sequencing, integrity and quality of engineering and procurement deliverables i.e. to confirm delivery in line with workface planning and optimal path of construction- thereby safeguarding construction efficiency, integrity, quality and safe execution of contracted scope.
