If there is not a robust supplier qualification process, suppliers who lack the capability to deliver quality products and/or quality systems can be appointed. |
Activity |
Confirm that suppliers are technically competent and have adequate track record to deliver on the project specific quality related technical, process and system requirements. Perform audits to ensure capability and adequate system controls, particularly with regards to manufacturing process controls and sub-supplier requirements specification and management. |
Purpose |
To ensure the number of quality related non-conformities from suppliers are minimised and/or are discovered and addressed as early as possible. |
