Poorly defined mitigation measures for environment, community health and social impacts may result in misalignment with local stakeholder’s expectations and could result in eroding business case value.

Activity

Develop, communicate and implement the Environmental, Social and Health Management Plan (ESHMP).

Purpose

To ensure the information from the ESHMP is used in the Final investment Decision (FID) and is included in project execution contracts and asset management/operations readiness plans.

The Impact Assessment process results in an ESHMP that includes control measures that minimise negative impacts and optimise positive impacts resulting from project development.
