Control: 1.D.7 Mitigation Measures for Environmental, Health and Social Impacts Integrated in Project Delivery
Title | Description |
Context |
Poorly defined mitigation measures for environment, community health and social impacts may result in misalignment with local stakeholder’s expectations and could result in eroding business case value. |
Activity |
Develop, communicate and implement the Environmental, Social and Health Management Plan (ESHMP). |
Purpose |
To ensure the information from the ESHMP is used in the Final investment Decision (FID) and is included in project execution contracts and asset management/operations readiness plans. The Impact Assessment process results in an ESHMP that includes control measures that minimise negative impacts and optimise positive impacts resulting from project development. |
